I’ve been using the Busch-free@home Next app to manage my lighting and blind scenes for a few months now, and I’m generally happy with the interface. However, I’ve run into a consistent performance issue where the app starts to lag or even loses its connection to the System Access Point if my phone is busy with other background tasks.
I’ve been doing some testing on my device while running what I've found to be the best roblox executor in the background to see how the Android OS handles high-frequency script execution alongside my smart home controls. Interestingly, as soon as that background activity ramps up, the Busch-Jaeger app becomes very slow to respond to touch inputs, and sometimes I even get a "Connection Lost" notification, requiring me to restart the app to regain control of my lights.
Has anyone else noticed the free@home app being sensitive to resource contention from other intensive third-party executors or scripts running on the same device? I’m trying to figure out if I should be locking the app in my "Recent Apps" list or if there’s a specific setting in the System Access Point 2.0 to make the local API connection more resilient to client-side CPU spikes. I really need my home automation to stay responsive even when I’m multitasking with other high-load tools.
Any advice on how to keep the mobile connection stable and prevent these dashboard freezes would be a huge help!
